It's a frustrating mistake because you ARE exercising, but you just never see your body change. No wonder so many people give up on the gym - it feels like it "isn't working" for them.

MISTAKE #2

You do the same workouts over and over again, or you go to the same fitness classes week after week, month after month.

If you're doing the same workouts for too long (i.e. anything longer than 6 weeks), it's not surprising that your body adapts, becomes comfortable, and stops showing progress.

MISTAKE #3

You have great intentions to exercise regularly, but life just gets in the way. Work, vacations, and busy family schedules make it easy to skip a workout, then two, then three, and suddenly the whole plan falls apart.

3 Steps To Fix Your Exercise And Transform Your Body

Step 1: Create A Plan

There are certain exercises and a certain way of using those exercises that will give your body the best results possible. A haphazard workout will never get you where you want to be.

Step 2: Change Up Your Program

Even the best workout plan will lose its effectivess if you follow it for too long. In order for your body to change, your exercise routine needs to progress as you get stronger and more fit.

 

Depending on your hormonal type you will need to change up you workouts every 3-6 weeks. Don't be complacent. Take the time to refresh your routine so that you don't get stuck in a rut.

Step 3: Do It With A Community Of People With Similar Goals

This is likely the most important exercise advice I can offer: Don't try to do it all alone!

 

Getting to the gym can be tough when you aren't accountable to anyone. There are always going to be reasons why it's not a good time or the right day to make exercise a priority.

 

Find a few women who have similar goals to yourself and support each other so that you make fitness a priority AND so that you give your best effort every time you exercise.
